I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
